Sloane FAQ

Tea technically does not expire. However, after 18-24 months, blended teas with natural flavours and raw ingredients will begin to lose their freshness and flavour. At Sloane Tea, we work directly with the tea gardens and farmers which means the tea is shipped directly to us soon after it is processed. This ensures that the tea you receive and drink is extremely fresh to begin with. Our collection of innovative packaging already maximizes the freshness and flavour of our teas, but there are additional steps you can take to help maintain the integrity of our teas. We recommend storing your tea away from other strong aromas(spices or coffee for example), avoiding storage that falls under direct sunlight, and avoiding extreme temperatures.

Sloane Tea is named after the delightfully quaint “Sloane Square” on the boundaries of the fashionable London districts of Knightsbridge, Belgravia and Chelsea. Sloane Square was named after Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1753) who was a fine physician, collector, and inventor of one of our other favourite beverages… drinking chocolate!

We do not have our own Sloane Tea storefronts, but our teas are sold at establishments across Canada and a select few in the US. Please visit our “Where to Buy” page to search for retailers near you.
